Your order becomes reserved only when this cake contract is drawn up, signed, and a $200.00 ( $100.00 if order is less than $300.00) booking retainer is received. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation. Deposits are refunded at the sole discretion of Parkland Cakes.
The final balance is due two weeks before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than 1 month before the event date, the total amount is due immediately and your order will not be placed until payment is received.
The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received. We are happy to accept payments on the final contract price-however, all monies must be received 2 weeks prior to the event or you cakes will not be made and all payments made will be non-refundable after the two-week lock-out date unless special arrangements have been made before hand.
Please return cake stands no later than 4 days after your event. Security deposits will not be refunded if the cake stand is not returned to Parkland Cakes within 4 days of the event in the condition that it was delivered.
Changes to your cake order: size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes.
In the event of cancellation: Cakes canceled prior to the 14 day lock-out date can be refunded up to 50% of the balance paid. The 50% retainer will not be refunded. Cakes canceled after the 14 day lock-out date will not be refunded . In the event that something occurs to effect your scheduled event date- please contact us to discuss options. Communication is key, if you are up-front about any issues about your date we will work hard to accommodate you. We understand things can come up that are out of your control.
We promise to do everything in our power to deliver you a cake that exceeds you expectations. We will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. All attempts will be made to coordinate and/or match your colors, however, please be aware that food colors do not always perfectly match. Depending on the mediums used, colors can be slightly altered by ingredients. Food colors may also fade in bright light especially purples, blues and pinks.
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after set-up is complete. You are responsible for providing and appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below.
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
By Signing this, You agree that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity or other certain emergencies.
